Other than the treadmill

I don't go to the gym as much, honestly, the first time I walked into a weight room was when I got to college. The rec only saw me the first week of each semester (you know that "New Year, New Me" concept), after a week the only reason you will find me there is because I had a class there. The only machine I knew how to use was the treadmill, I mean all you gotta do is run. I tried other machines but those were an embarrassing story just waiting to be created. But all that changed a few weeks ago when my sister asked me to join her in her summer workouts. Their workout is split into two (running/exercising and then weight room or vice versa). On my first day when her coach said we are going to the weight room after completing the first potion, I looked at my sister and laughed. I left that day being taught by my sister how to bench press, deadlift, DB/incline, I even learned that I couldn't do a proper squat (I'm getting better). I try to forget the day after workouts but the soreness got to me. I enjoy working out with my sister because I learn more weightlifting stuff each day. I better be fit by the end of summer - lol I'm just joking, I don't even know what that means-maybe next fall I will be at the rec more often doing something other than the treadmill, just maybe.
