Back to the Roots

Updated: May 11, 2021

I was going to write a different post since each day was a new experience but I decided to sum my trip to the motherland in one post. Amazing doesn't even come close to defining my trip. I loved every moment I got to spend time with my family. I never put into thought how priceless the presence of my family and friends was till I moved 8,774 miles away. There were so many things that I learned and were put into perspective. Seeing where I came from reminded me why I do what I do and why I try the very best to work for what I earn. I'm blessed to be where I am today. There was a time, I was like wow that was me, I was in those shoes but now I am wearing improved shoes. You see sometimes you gotta taking it back to the roots. My background is what made me who I am today and motivates me to continue to build me. To be honest, I can't write everything because I was taught a lot and my trip is unexplainable but priceless. But there is one thing I can tell you: No matter where I go or stay, Kenya is the home in my heart. I will always treasure my roots.
